Let’s talk about Tuesday. Tuesday might be the most ignored day of the week. It doesn’t pack the same amount of misery that Monday does, and it’s not quite hump day. It’s just sorta there, existing only to be forgotten.

But Tuesday wasn’t always a drag. Once upon a time, Tuesday was known as “Tiw’s Day,” a hero of Norse mythology. “Who’s Tiw?” you ask. Well, he’s not Thor, but he is the god of single combat and heroic glory, which seems pretty badass. In honor of Tuesday challenge one of your various adversaries to a duel, the loser must prepare a cheeseball for the winner (and spend a week knowing that Tiw is deeply disappointed in them).

Below we’ve selected a cheeseball that adequately represents the victorious spirit. Chipotles, cumin, and garlic give this cheeseball a kick worthy of a hero.

Silver Spork’s Tuesday Cheeseball (Spicy Corn Ball)

Ingredients
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 cup corn, canned or frozen, thawed and drained well
1⁄4 cup chopped scallions
2 tablespoons chopped canned chipotle in adobo
3⁄4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1 garlic clove, chopped
1 1⁄2 tablespoons ground cumin
1⁄4 teaspoon coarse salt
Corn chips or crackers, for serving

Instructions
Using a stand mixer or a bowl and a spatula, mix together the cream cheese, cheddar, corn, scallions, chipotle, 2 tablespoons of the chopped cilantro (reserve the rest for coating the cheese ball), garlic, cumin, and salt until combined. Form the mixture into a ball and cover with plastic wrap; refrigerate for at least two hours or overnight.

Before serving, roll in the remaining cilantro to coat.
Serve with crackers.
