Photo Essay: Lynd Fruit Farm

If there’s one thing I love about fall (beside watching Hocus Pocus and singing “This Is Halloween” at the top of my lungs) it’s apple picking.

Ok, so apple picking has become an Instagrammed “Basic Betch” habit so pervasive it’s become self-mocking. But here in Columbus, apple picking is a tradition because of one place – Lynd Fruit Farm.

Lynd’s is a massive orchard that grows everything from Honeycrisp, Golden Delicious, Winesap, Jonagold, to Braeborns. The farm also has a fantastic pumpkin patch and a full-scale (farmer’s) market. And it’s not just fall that Lynd’s dominates. I have some fond memories of school trips to Lynd’s in the spring for strawberry picking.

For the past four years, I have gone to Lynd Fruit Farm to pick apples with my friends. This year was no exception. So enjoy my photo collection of apples. I’ll be here, eating my 10lb bag of freshly picked apples.
