Peachy Cream


The first day of summer — the summer solstice — has arrived. And since it’s also National Peaches & Cream Month, plus National Grilling month, Spork has decided it’s time.

We’re gonna triple down by celebrating all three of these holidays with one recipe.

So fire up the grill, because we’ve got a recipe for grilled peaches with vanilla ice cream.


Grilled Peaches with Vanilla Ice Cream


  • 2 ripe peaches
  • 2 ripe nectarines
  • canola oil
  • 8 large scoops vanilla ice cream
  • drizzle of honey
  • dash of sea salt


Prep your grill, heating it to medium high heat

Halve the peaches & nectarines, then lightly coat them with oil, & place on the grill for a few minutes

Turn the peaches & nectarines around, continue cooking for another 3-4 minutes (until grill marks appear, & the fruit begins to caramelize)

Take the peaches & nectarines off the grill

Serve with a scoop or two of vanilla ice cream. Drizzle with honey & dash of sea salt for something extra delicious
